If I have an M1 Mac mini, is their a way to change the monitor brightness on the Magic Keyboard instead of going in the settings on the monitor? Like I want to know if changing the monitor brightness on the Magic Keyboard will work and what kind of monitor I need in order for that to work.

My guess is "probably not".
At least I don't recall ever seeing an application or utility on the Mac that could do this.
To work, I'm thinking that it would require hardware/firmware in the DISPLAY to support commands from the Mac.

I could be wrong.

It works when using the LG Ultrafine displays sold by Apple. Perhaps other USB-C monitors may support it, but I’ve not seen anything .
