Monitor Calibration Issues

I am having issues with my monitor calibration, and I wanted to see if anyone else has had the same issue. I use the new 15" Macbook Pro with the 24" external display, and I use the Huey Pro to calibrate my monitor. My first issue is that even when calibrated, the color on my laptop screen and the color on my external monitor is off - not a huge difference, but definitely noticeable. Also, I recently had prints made at WHCC (I am a photographer), and when I got the prints back they are significantly darker than what appears on my screen. Has anyone else had this problem?? I'm not sure what to do to get my monitors to match, and also why my prints are SO dark! Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
