i'm not sure if this is the right place, but i was curious why i have to fold my MacBook's screen all the way back to see the colors on the screen correctly. if i have it closer to being perpendicular, the colors are faded, and i prefer my screen not to be back so far.
 
I don't know why this is happening for you - on my Macbook, tilting it too far back distorts the colours and perpendicular displays them perfectly.

Have you tried calibrating it? (System Preferences, Displays, Color tab)
 
i do the non-expert calibration, and it doesn't change anything.
