I recently got a D6000 dock to use with my Macbook Air M1, but I've run into quite an annoying issue with DisplayLink. For context, I have two monitors: one I connect natively using an USB-C to HDMI adapter and one I connect via DisplayLink through the Dell D6000 dock. My main display I use natively to achieve the maximum refresh rate. The problem I'm running into is that whenever I wake my Macbook, it detects my secondary monitor plugged into the D6000 dock as native and therefore doesn't detect my main monitor at all.
This is really annoying as whenever I dock the Macbook I always need to constantly disconnect/reconnect cables until I can get my configuration to work the way I want it. I've tried disabling DisplayLink on startup/login hoping that'd remedy the issue, but no dice. I want a solution that'd potentially allow me to disable/prevent my secondary monitor from connecting natively and instead force it to use DisplayLink. I've seen that there are ways to disable Or maybe force my main display to be detected first (if that's even possible). I never shut down my Macbook, but even after sleeping and leaving it on the dock my Macbook can't remember the configuration. I've tried things like Lunar and SwitchResX but have had no success. Anyone know a way around this?
