I have a MBP 13" 2011. I don't really know what resolution sizes are, except for like 1080 is HD for TVs. I need to know what resolution size to put my MBP on so i can connect it to my monitor. Also, should i connect via VGA or DVI? My monitor is a Samsung B2430H. :)

Just plug your tv to your computer and it will figure it out for you. But, if you really want to get specific, your TV is capable of 1920x1080 resolution. Set it to that.

If you want to get full HD(1080p, or 1920x1080, whatever you want to call it) you'll also have to turn display mirroring off. I strongly suggest going with a DVI connection, keeping the data digital for a digital TV.
