Monitor connections

Hi.

I have a NEC PA241W which I. haven't used for year. I am about to buy a Mac mini and I have what I believe to be a DVI-D to DVI-D cable. I also have an Apple DVI-D ro HDMI adapter. There is a port for the DVI-D to plug into the monitor and I believe I can use cable the adapter to plug the other end into eh mini's HDMI port.

To make sure I'm using the right terms I've attached some pics

Is this the recommended way to do it?
