Monitor connectivity, reliability

Hey there, i'm buying a new dell u2311h who has both displayport and dvi.

I'm wondering what would be the best option to connect it to my 2011mbp.

Hesitating between:

i bought the exact same monitor (beautiful), and went with your second choice you have listed for connecting it (MDP to DP). Its easy, simple, and it works great. There were cheaper cables on amazon, but went with startech's cable and it has served me well so far.
