Monitor fails to wake from sleep

I am having a problem with my Dell 2415Q monitor unable to wake from sleep with latest version of El Capitan public beta. I have to reconnect DP cable to another TB port to get it working again, but this also works randomly. Anybody else having this issue?

Sometimes just turning the monitor off and on will fix the problem.

Sometimes just turning the monitor off and on will fix the problem.

That is probably the first thing people would do in this case. No, I believe this is a software issue.

have you tried checking the Energy Saver settings under System Preferences? if so, have you tried a SMC or PRAM reset?
