Good morning.I need to buy a monitor for my new Mac Mini (I'm currently using a 2009 27" 2560x1440 iMac) and use it exclusively for CAD drawings with ArchiCAD and Libre Office. I'm undecided between a 27" and a 32" (a 27" 5K monitor is too expensive).I'm interested in the sharpness of CAD drawings and text reading, not color fidelity or video handling. From what I've read, using the 27" in 4K mode would make the ArchiCAD menus too small and difficult to read, so I'm wondering if it's better to buy
1. a 27" 2K monitor with similar resolution to the iMac I'm using?
2. A 27" 4K monitor for use in 2K, and I wonder if this would affect the sharpness of the line?
3. A 27" 4K monitor for use in an intermediate resolution between 2K and 4K, and I wonder if this would affect the sharpness of the line, aside from the problem that the hardware has to work harder because... I'm not interested in this because for what I need to do, I don't want to stress the hardware?
4. A 32" 4K monitor? How does it look?
Thanks

Yes, and there are, but I was looking for answers based on direct experience, not technical explanations.
Direct question, direct answer, no digressions.
Thanks

I am using an MSI 4K 27" monitor with my M4 Mac Mini, which is now a year old. It has a matte screen, so it doesn't strain my eyes at all—very clear and sharp. There have been many new monitors from MSI since 2024, so you'd need to check their website. Look for a gaming monitor; I have a business monitor. Full 4K is quite nice for drawing, but it can feel a bit small. I'm using the 3008x1692px resolution, which is also good enough for drawing and gentle on the eyes.
