Monitor for Macbook Pro and PS3 / New set up

Hi All ,

I’ve got a few questions I am hoping you can help me with:

I am setting up my spare room as a computer / gaming room and am looking for a monitor which is good for connecting both my mid 2012 Macbook Pro and my PS3? It would be better if the monitor had speakers for PS3 usage although I usually use headphones, so not too much of a problem if it doesn’t. Below are a couple of monitors I have seen?

Acer 23 inch with speakers

Asus 23 inch with speakers (would look good with the macbook!)

Can anyone comment on the above or suggest others. How would I best connect my macbook / PS3…has anyone done this?

I am also looking for recommendations for macbook pro docks and keyboard / mouse? The room will be minimalist but is also going to be used as a library with two walls filled with bookshelves and there is also a mini sofa / side table lamp. Want it to look cool, as it will be where I go to get out of the wife’s hair for a few hours!!

That Dell looks nice. Does anyone know how it will perform as a PS3 monitor (mainly play FPS)?
