Hi guys.
I've read a few threads on this forum as I am looking for a second monitor for my Macbook Pro (mid 2012 13 inch).
From what I have understood, the Dell's ISP screens are amazing. The Viewsonic's seem to be good too.
My question is :
I want to use my screen mostly to have After Effects, Logic Pro Mixer, Pro Tools Mixer ...You know, apps .
I don't know if I should buy a monitor or a TV ,would anyone tell me the advantages/disadvantages?
Also , I would like to be able to connect my mac into it getting the best resolution , which cable would I need?
I will also want to watch movies on it every now in a while (therefore I don't need an amazing movie screen, just something which will be good for after effects/etc)
I just don't want to be looking at my mixer and the screen to lag (not sure that even happens but I'm not screen savvy so I don't know)
I have seen a Dell screen for £128 http://www.amazon.co.uk/Dell-Professional-P2412H-inch-monitor/dp/B005MHMD6U/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1386380648&sr=8-5&keywords=dell+24+monitor and a viewsonic for a bit more. http://www.amazon.co.uk/ViewSonic-VX2453MH-LED-inch-Screen-Monitor/dp/B004LXK8LI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1386379664&sr=8-1&keywords=viewsonic+24
I am also confused with the fact that when I search for "Dell 24 inch monitor" in Amazon there are like 20 different models of 24 inch , some for £250 and some for £120 (one I am looking at).
Whats the difference?
My price range is between £100-£160 but preferably round the £140 mark.
Cheers guys, much appreciated
