Monitor just for Mail ..?

Ive just set up Apple Mail and all's going well, as I have a spare LCD 15 inch monitor, could I connect this to my iMac and have it constantly showing only my Mail set up, but at the same time continue to use the main iMac screen for other separate things..?

Yes, the second monitor can be used to extend your desktop.

Yes, if you want. Just drag mail to the second screen and don't drag anything else over there.

in order to hook up your external monitor.
You can either extend your desktop to the other monitor, or you can mirror your iMac display to it.
