Hey guys, i have a 17" Macbook Pro (2010 model) and since i need a bigger screen when i am at home, i was thinking buying a 27" LED Monitor, keyboard and a mouse and connecting it with my MacBook!

So i could leave my macbook pro in a corner running while using my desktop keyboard, mouse and screen!

What ya think? The monitor has 1920 x 1080 resolution

I mostly need this for music production since i need a bigger workflow than 17" :) Would the resolution be decent ?

The resolution on the monitor is worse than the built-in screen on your MacBook Pro (1920x1080 vs. the built-in 1920x1200). It really won't be an improvement unless you use both screens.

If you just need to see better, without more pixel real estate, then the monitor is fine.
If you need more space to work, as in more pixels, the Apple Cinema Display is your best bet. (2560x1440 pixels)
