I just got back from buying a Samsung SyncMaster 225BW for my MacBook pro, and about an hour into using it I've noticed 2 dead pixels right next to each other right in the middle.

So, should I take it back and exchange it, or is this a pretty normal thing to put up with in LCD monitors? I've only owned one and never noticed anything like that.

where did you buy it? online or local shop. if you got from Bestbuy or compusa with purchasing replacement plan, you just go to there for getting another one. no question is asked. but if you got from website, you should call them. technically, if you don't have more than 5 dead pixels, you can't get new one. dell has that kind of policy. I think Apple has, too.
