Hi,
I recently purchased an LG 27UN880-B display with a USB-C port. Having a single cable to connect it to my Macbook seemed very practical in the first days.
However, I just noticed, when exporting a screen recording with Quicktime, that my battery dropped from 100% to 6%. Usually the Mac never drops below 100% because being connected via USB-C means receiving power all the time.
This could be because the downstream wattage of the USB-C port in the display is 60w, while the Macbook charger (13" Pro model) is 65w. When under load, this difference seems significant enough to make it tap into the battery.
Am I right? Is this happening to others as well?
