Hi, i've recently got a powermac G5 with a ati radeon gfx card with 2 DVI outs

about half an hour ago, the screen display inverted for lack of a better word, every dark color was bright white, and most of the icons on my desktop were pixellated like i had a dead pixel problem, just now it's remedied itself, for the same unknown reason, i'm trying to find out what this could be but im drawing a blank, the monitor is a sony SDM-X52 model, with twin DVI - VGA input

i think the weak link in the system is the DVI lead, i got it from ebay for less then £3.
i tried restarting the system and tried the lead in each of the gfx card outputs and it gave the same result,

any help would be good :)

Sure you didn't somehow hit ctrl+alt+apple+8? Probably not but might have been. Otherwise it likely could be some short circuiting wires in the dvi cable.
