Monitor Question

Hi All

I just bought a new MacBook Pro yesterday as well as this model monitor.


Dell 27 USB-C Ultrathin Monitor - S2719

I am researching but am not understanding how to connect these two devices. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Do I need a docking station? Is there a wire that will connect both devices. Dumb it down for me please
