Hi all,

I am looking to improve my home office setup and would like to add an external monitor. What would people recommend to use with the base spec 12" macbook? I already have the HDMI adapter and a magic trackpad 2 and external keyboard so just need a nice monitor to complete the package! I have looked a little at the ultrawide monitors and these look pretty good, how does the 2" cope with driving these?

Thanks

I am also in the market for hdmi external monitor. Probably something 21" and mountable on the wall

Both Asus and Dell have some great "Professional" series 22 to 30" monitors for very reasonable prices. Best bet is to sign up for NewEgg's deal emails for a while and watch for a good deal on one that meets your needs.

I have a base rmb and got the 27" asus from amazon for $239. It has 2 hdmi ports so you can have 2 computers hooked and switch from one to the other. Its a great sleek monitor.
