Hi everyone,
Let me apologize in advance for the lack of detail in this post. My cubicle neighbor was on a phone call with her aunt who has a computer (windows) which she uses to surf the web. Periodically a "blue triangle" will appear in the center of her screen along with an error message about her screen's resolution. She has adjusted the resolution with no effect. The warning appears at seemingly random times. She just got a new monitor at Christmas, and we have no idea how long this has been happening and I am getting all of this information 2nd hand.
My first reaction is that it is possibly some kind of spyware/adware pop-up as I've never seen or heard of a system warning like this (or a monitor complaining about the resolution it's displaying). I've done a few google searches but nothing has provided any help.
So, I pose this question to my friends here at MacRumors. Have any of you experienced this type of warning? Any leads would be appreciated.
