I just sent feedback to apple:
I'd like to use ONE monitor with both my macPro and my macMini. So, I bought hdmi switcher (Deltaco HDMI-7042, 4k 18Gb/s) between the monitor and the macs. MP is ok, but MM takes somehow EDID info from both the switch and the monitor and gets confused and the result is I get flash of picture, fraction of a second few times a minute. I guess this is because MM sends 59.94 Hz to the monitor, because of the switch and monitor really needs 60.0 Hz.
Although it would be nice, that you could adjust manually all the specs in Displays, in System Preferences, I'm not even asking that.
I suggest that you move monitor info outside of SIP, that you don't have disable SIP to adjust monitor signal. i bet lots of people leave SIP disabled all the time, so this really weakens the overall safety of the mac.

If you have same problems, send feedback too!
