am looking for a monitor. mainly its going to be used for 8 channel video surveillance. Budget under 250 usd. It must have capabilities to be hung on a wall. Any suggestion would be appreciated.

So you need a monitor with 8 inputs or do you already have a switcher for that?
If it is the latter, then almost any monitor with a VESA mount capability will do.

the dvr has an hdmi output so i want to use that.

Does that "monitor" need any other special requirements than an HDMI input? If not, you can get any Dell or HP or Samsung monitor with an HDMI input. Maybe have a look at one or three big online electronics shops of your country and look for yourself?
