Hi

I wake from either computer or display sleep, I log in and both screen go dark for a second or two before resuming normal operation.

Has anyone else experienced this? It happens every time.

I have two Dell 27" displays connected via their display port connections.

Thanks.

You didn't tell us which Mac you have (that's important information).

Lots of folks with Minis have experienced display "irregularities", especially when booting or waking up from sleep. Some of the problems are far worse than yours (that is, the display doesn't "come back" at all).

My assessment:
So long as the displays always "come back" to normal operation, don't worry about it.
Things could be worse...;)

My machine spec is in my signature.

I'm not 'worried' as such, just irritated by it and hoping someone else with a similar issue had a fix.

I would imagine that it's everything syncing up/handshake to the best resolution. My TV and STB do that when the STB is switching from 2K to 4K or App to App. The TV goes dark for a couple of seconds. The change is quite obvious. Even when it's been on for a long while and if whichever app or program I switch needs to "re-sync".

Funny you should say that as my Apple TV does it too when I switch apps or open an app for the first time.
