In addition to my personal MBP I am about to receive one from work. I would like to run both of these simultaneously (switching between them) which is easy with my MX Keys and MX Master 3 but the monitor is another matter. Currently I have two Dell 27" 1440s and the input switch is buried in the menu and multiple steps. Ideally I would like the MBPs both wired to different inputs on monitors with a 1 button or remote to switch. God knows why TVs can do this so easily and monitors get buried in the menu.

What I am after is either feedback on something like an ultrawide, again with an easy switch input, so 1 button or a remote or better/newer 27" 1440s with a single button switch or remote. Both of my MBPs are 16" M1s.

Thanks in advance.

Maybe consider a 32" or 40" 4K television... multiple HDMI inputs with a remote control to switch between the two?

Some Dell monitors allows you to customize their controls (PIP controls, input selection etc), by selecting “favorite menus” and let you move some menus up to a favorites position for use with the monitor’s button controls.

While it is not an ideal solution it can be used to access some deeply nested menu commands closer to the top levels of the monitor’s menus

Get a two monitor KVM switch. You can get ones with remotes or whatever. Hit one button and it will swap between the two computers.

Thanks @Chuckeee, luckily both of mine have this functionality I hadn't thought to look for. As you said, not the best option but pretty close.
