I recently upgraded to the new MacBook Air and began having problems with hearing music in mono through Bluetooth headphones (Airpods Pro and Bose QC35). This is fixed temporarily by changing Sound > Input to Internal (instead of the paired BT headphones). That said:

- I never had this happen before on other Macs
- Input seems to default back to the paired BT headphone
- What if I also want to use the BT headphone mic when I have it paired to the Mac?

Same problem. Noticed it over the last few days. Using them for Google Meet in Chrome. But as soon as I play music, I notice how bad the sound quality is. Your temporary fix did not work for me.

that is a normal behavior I believe, happened on both my Mac and pc. I don't know why tho

Wow, spot on. Just tried it in Safari too. Same switch to horrible audio. Just gone right off Google Meet. Can't seem to find a setting that prevents this. That's going to be super crappy now that we have a lot of google meets open throughout the day.
