So I have a Canon HF G10 camcorder that I've been using for about a year now. It works good, and I've been using iMovie 9 to edit and export the movies.

Here's the problem. When I use an external microphone (Azden WMS-PRO wireless lapel mic). Everything is fine except the microphone only records on one channel, the left one. And that kinda sorta makes sense since it's a mono mic.

Now I bought and tried a mono to stereo 3.5mm adapter jack but for some reason that did not work.

So what I have to do, is import the video, edit it in iMovie, then export it in mono output.

The problem here is with iMovie 10.0.2 I cannot "save" the movie and convert the audio to mono. So I'm stuck using iMovie 9.

So I'm wondering can anyone out in MR-land recommend a wireless lapel mic that will output in stereo mode? I'd rather just record in stereo and then not have to worry about processing the audio later (makes iMovie 10 work properly then).
