I am doing a clean install of SL on my friends 32-bit CoreDuo iMac. Would it be safe to strip it of all 64-bit code using monolingual to save space? I'm assuming it would since his mac is 32-bit anyway but wanted to see what anyone else said before I break it

Don't do this. Just remove the ones that are checked by default. The developers just made this Snow Leopard compatible so it's safe. I just ran it and removed only 187MB in the Architecture tab.

The general answer to this question is, do not remove anything other than languages using Monolingual. You never know when you need it, the system needs it or even what can happen if you remove it.

Please search before you post as this has been asked before. Thanks.
