I looked for a Monterey 12.2 bugs thread but could not find one, please let me know if there is one and I'll append to it.
Have been chasing down two issues over the past 2 weeks. Wondered if others have experienced either?
Refurbished M1 MacBook Air 16GB 2TB, purchased in early Dec 2021
1) Sudden loss of partial trackpad functionality, Magic Mouse 2, and wired mouse -- can't left-click with any of the three. Self-diagnostic codes NDR005 & NDR006 show. Then functionality eventually returned (two instances of this issue in the past 3 weeks). THREAD Apple suggested erasing & reloading Monterey, after which I ran self diagnostics and no code showed up, but then after connecting two different Magic Mouse 2's, the error codes showed up again. Apple senior advisor does not see any similar issue in whatever database he checked and says for now the only option is to consider using my MM2 again and seeing if the issue appears, then calling Apple back...
I'm left not able to use a Magic Mouse 2 for fear of the issue appearing again and losing ability to use the mouse or trackpad left-click.
2) Buggy Family Sharing - I am the admin for my son's apple account since he's younger than 13. When logged into the App Store on my MBA I see his name at the "Purchased By" menu in the top right corner after selecting my name in the lower left corner. Can't see my name. Spent over 2 hours with Apple online and they think it may be a Monterey issue.
I am one of those fortunate users who used a non-@iCloud.com Apple account for iTunes purchases (starting around 2002), and an @iCloud.com account for everything iCloud (started around 2007). For Family Sharing I use the @iCloud.com Apple ID as the administrator ID and @hotmail.com Apple ID for the Purchases ID. What's odd is, when I log into the App Store on the MBA under the non-iCloud @hotmail.com Apple ID, I see both his name and my name as choosable. When I log in to the App Store on the MBA using the @iCloud.com Apple ID, I see only his name.
