One of the reasons Apple stuff sells like hotcakes is because everyone knows at least one Apple guru who gets the latest everything from Apple, demos it for everyone, and generally acts as a one man Apple Tupperware party.

The amount of Apple Watches in the wild is slowly increasing, but it's really gonna blow up in June, when tons of pre-orders will finally ship.

So does this spell greater availability for Apple Watch, because most people who wanted one will finally have one, or less availability, because more people will finally see what it can do, courtesy their pre-ordering guru friend's/co-worker's demos and endorsements, and buy out the next wave of production?

I think it is a combination of all the things you've mentioned.

I wouldn't be surprised if Apple expects to normalize stock by the all too important back to school season.
