Toronto's Canada's Apple store at the eaton center will be having an iPhone Workshop: Getting Started on saturday novemeber 10th. I first saw this when i was going to book my appointment for the genius bar to get my mac book repaired. I found this very odd does anyone know anything about this?

thats the link please replace the xx with tt not sure if im allowed to post direct links.

I'd say so.

That is clearly the biggest leak I've ever seen on the Apple site if it ends up being true.

Maybe we'll get it with the UK this week?

Certainly would save me a lot of headaches with all this unlocking crap.

Word! all the unlocking and crap is gettin a bit old haha, I just dont wanna have to buy a new iphone for canada. If i dont need to ill be so happy. Im hoping i can just sign up for the rogers contract through iTunes when it gets released! But lets hope its a real leak

Well, I signed up for it for this Saturday so I guess I'll find out if it's a mistake or not. Are Apple known for making these kinds of mistakes though? I came soooo close to buying one in the US today while cross border shopping but resisted. Hope we're getting it soon, fingers crossed, it's such a cool phone

When was the pre-ordering suppose to happen again?

I am waiting for a 16GB, HSDPA iPhone. I just hope they put in a better camera with flash.

Also it is interesting, no one from Apple saw this error and fixed it.

So what would they do?

"Look at this great phone... (Slaps hand) DON'T TOUCH! You can't buy it!"

Unless Rogers pull out a 'miracle', any iPhone plan would be eye wateringly expensive!

I just spoke to someone at the eaton centre apple store and they confirmed with me that it was a mistake and that apple is in the process of correcting it. He told me that the workshop is actually at the apple store at the easton town centre which is in Columbus, Ohio. What a mistake to make. Apple is getting tons of phone calls about this.

Yup... It's not on the page any more.

Me thinks probably the content is scheduled at a corporate level some weeks ahead and they duplicated the schedule from a US store.

the biggest indicator of iphones this christmas in canada is that futureshop is carrying Rogers wireless now.

It has since been corrected. Now it's a 'Getting Started' workshop.

I just don't see how it's going to work in Canada until something is done about the obscenely expensive data plans. Unless iPhone is the thing that gets done about it...

iPhone in demo

I don't think it means much unfortunatly

An Apple exclusive store here in Quebec City (yes, in Canada :)) had a 3 days presentation of the new Apple products (iMac, New iPods, etc) a month ago and they had 2 iPhone so people can see it and play with it (pure torture). But on the advertisement, it was clear that the iPhone was not for sale in Canada yet.....

"Look at my great toy, sorry you live in a far far away country and you can't have it...." yeah, thanks Steve.....

I'm not sure if it's new or not, but I was browsing the iTunes Store (Canadian one) yesterday and noticed that it now had a ring-tones column.

Maybe I missed it, but it's there now.

Everybody now has the option for a ring tone column but we still can't buy ring tones in Canada. When they put out the update for iTunes when they released ring tones in the USA, Canada also got the update.

THIS is such a scam made by Best Buy just to use Apple's iPhone name to have people sign up for a Best Buy newsletter in the hopes of selling junk to people. Here are some key phases: "Best Buy Canada doesn’t carry the iPhone", "Should the iPhone ever become available at our Canadian stores, we will let our customers know through the Best Buy Canada e-newsletter.", "If you’re not receiving the Best Buy Canada e-newsletter yet, sign up for it now to get the latest info on cool gear and online-only contests, deals and offers."

In short: "We don't have the iPhone and we don't know if we will ever get one, but until we know look at other stuff you can buy at our store! Please sign up for our spam mail."

ALSO for everybody reading Best Buy and Future Shop are the same darn store. Best Buy ownes Future Shop. If Best Buy gets it, Future Shop will to.

AND Both Best Buy and Future Shop are evil, stupid companies. I hate them... but go there anyway... I try to only buy things on sale or if I can rip them off by getting them to price match some others store's ridiculous price. (Just got a last gen Apple BT Wireless keyboard from them for $39.99! Staples' was selling them online for that price but were sold out, he he. Thank you Future Shop!)

Or go there to test out the products you think that you like and take advantage of their 30 day (no questions asked) return policy. I once bought and returned 4 MP3 players in one day. It was awesome making them angry at me. Other than that, the commissioned bastards of future shop will try and sell you anything and everything.

... Oooonly cost'ya 300 loonies...

I remember a rumour while ago about the iPhone to be sold at Holt Renfrew for about CAD $800.00... pennies for people that usually buy at Holt.

I think they meant "iPod Touch" @ Eaton

Btw, I have seen tons of iPhones in Toronto.
