More G5 shipping info...

I ordered a Dual 2gHz G5 CTO (took out superdrive, added Airport Extreme) a couple of days after the announcement.

Anyway, I called Apple UK this morning to ask when it would be shipped. The woman said:

"It hasn't been constructed yet, and they ship just after they've finished construction. The G5's should come out of construction between August 15th and 2nd September."

So, they could start shipping as soon as three days from now? Hmmm, I'll believe it when I see it.

I agree, those Irish women do make calling Apple a lot more enjoyable!
