hi again, you can tell im getting an ibook cant you with all these questions!

anyways, here goes:

RAM:

is it yet possible to put a 1GB stick of ram in an ibook 500? if so does anybody have a link to a site that sells it? crucial only goes up to 512 (maby cos it cant go in the book?)

Overclocking:

i posted earlyer on this, but just wondering now if there is a softwear overclock or do you really have to butcher the ibook? agian, has anybody tried this with an ibook 500? or is it not advisable?

HD:

i decided not to upgrade the HD and buy a firewire external instead, then it can come with me when i eventually get me that powerbook that i really want, not because i need it, but because it looks nice!

thats the trouble with apple... too sexy!

Sorry to disappoint u but the 1 gb stick is only for g4 ibooks.
And as far as i know, software overclocking wont be possible. you can fool the system that its running at higher speed but not the hardware,,..

Hardware overclocking is possible, but it is highly *not* advisable.

The most amount of ram you can have in the iBook is 640 by adding a 512mb stick.
