"More..." icon missing from the App Store App.

Unless I'm going mad, I could have sworn I saw a "more..." icon along the bottom of the App store App on my iPhone 3g, running the 3.0 software. This icon would open a list of options that allowed you to redeem an iTunes code.

Today when I looked, All I see are "Featured", "Categories", "Top 25", "Search", and "Updates". No "More..." icon.

My iTunes app still has that icon though. Rebooting the device did not bring it back. Is anybody else seeing this too?

Wow, I thought I was going crazy this morning when I woke up and had an icon for Update on the App Store haha. The same thing happened to me! I don't really have any explanation for it though...
 
they removed the redeem link so there is no reason to have a more button. you can still redeem codes in the itunes music store on your ipod touch or iphone
 
Good, I pretty much would never use the redeem thing anyway, and it was annoying having search, top 25 or updates hidden.

Mine's gone too, by the way.
 
WTF? Is the AppStore all web based?

It'd be nice if they could update more stuff on the fly like that.
 
Well, at least I am not going crazy! Thanks!

The icons did not even stay the way I arranged them when they were there, so I prefer them gone.

Yes. To be honest, they may have reverted it back due to all the issues it had until they fix it. I don't know, but it's possible.

I didn't want to start a new thread but I just noticed that on 3.0 I'm unable to see the redeem option in either the App Store App or the iTunes App on the iPhone. Anyone else not seeing it?

Found it! Its at the bottom of Featured in App Store.
 
Well that is beyond lame!! But at least it is still there. Thanks Apple for the mid-morning treasure hunt.

I noticed a couple days back too, i was like hey its a "super cool, super hot" new redeem app. then i was in ituners and was like "oh sheight" where is the redeem??

Just leave redeem in itunes and stop the maddness!

Thats the same thing I did, then realized they moved it when I saw this thread :p
