I have iMovie '09 on my MacBook Pro and would like to use it to edit videos taken on my Flip cam, but I have no idea what the difference is between a project and an event and was wondering if anybody could help explain this to me...

Let's say you film at a wedding and have several tapes or cards with footage for the whole day.

Now you want to edit it so you make a PROJECT called "Wedding" and as that wedding had several events, the actual wedding in the church, the arrival of the guests, the dinner, the cake, the dance, the party, ..., you can sort those events into iMovie's EVENTS to have faster access to them.

You also can have several PROJECTS with the same EVENTS.

A PROJECT is like a book, the EVENTS are the chapters.
