Next week-ish, probably next Saturday the 24th I'm going to finally get my ipod touch. I haven't seen a ton of apps that I would really want on it, summerboard, photoboard, BUT I don't know anyone with a jailbroken iphone/touch--so my exposure is limited.

Anyway, I want to know, in your opinion, if I should go through the tedious 1.1.3 jailbreak process, or just hold out for the SDK and assume/hope I can get these apps shortly there after?

Also, if I were to jailbreak, I then wouldn't have maps/mail/notes/weater--can I get these back, or from another source?

Also, also, if you think I should jailbreak, what are some other sweet apps that you like?

Thanks for reading, I know it's a lot, but I also know the 1.1.3 jailbreak process can be lengthy.

Its not tedious....it's pretty straight forward.

This question has been asked hundreds of times.....still my same response,

WHY NOT?!?!?

You can always just restore the iPod if you want later. Mail, Weather, etc can be installed after you jailbreak it. Just search for it.
