I just bought another 512MB of RAM for my iMac DV along with Jaguar. I'm going to be very happy soon.

My 400MHz iMac DV will now have 768MB RAM, a 7200RPM 80GB hard drive, an external CD burner, and MacOS 10.2.

The speed increase that I'll see will be fun, to say the least.

10.2 will scream on your system. I've been happy with the speed of even my most modest G3 systems

I'll get a new G4 system in good time...

Now, I'm just soaking in the thought of a faster system for only $200. Eventually, I'll pony up the money for a superdrived eMac.

Good luck with your new RAM and X.2, you'll have to let us know if you really do notice a big difference over X.1.5 on that 400Mhz G3 iMac.

That'll be good, I've just this second ordered my copy of X.2 from the Apple store and like everyone am looking forward to recieving it, see if I can't get this dual 1Ghz running any faster...:D

Wow. You lucky horse's ash! :D

Jaguar will be plenty happy with all that RAM. Plus, with 10.2 and over 512MB RAM, even a G3 seems to become 3/2 to 2x faster.

Enjoy, man.
