I know there are plenty of other posts asking this same question, but they don't really explain what the numbers should be just more is better or less is better...
Can you explain to me, if I need more memory, and what made you come to that conclusion?

First, restart your Mac to clear the page outs and swap used, since they're cumulative. Then monitor them under normal use. If your page outs and swap used under normal use is excessive, you need more RAM.
