There's nothing not to like with this machine.
When I bought it I wanted to get a SuperDrive, but they where sold out. The one there recommended was a LG blue ray player. I played with it a bit. I didn't like it at all. The tray was flimsy & fiddly.
Yesterday I swapped it for an Apple SuperDrive. It's obvious that the MBP & SuperDrive are made for each other by looking at them. Everything works together. There is nothing to figger out. The video is awesome & the sound is very good for computer sound.

Question
Is there a way to eject the DVD other than dragging the video icon to the trash?

I was going to say there is an eject key on the keyboard, but I just saw a few pictures and realized Apple did away with it and replaced it with the power button.

I don't think there is another way that doesn't involve using the terminal. Alternatively you could always write an Automator script that does it for you and assign it a keyboard shortcut.

Right click the drive icon on the desktop and eject.

You can use the contextual menu (right click) on the cd icon. You can also select eject disc from the Apple menu.

Lol, you know what? Now that I remember the manual comes with all the ways to eject it.
You sir, just like my wife did with her very own SuperDrive, didn't read the included manual :)
