Following yesterday's leak of what appeared to be a working 4.7-inch iPhone 6, passions have run high between those who believe the device to be genuine and those who believe it to be a fake or a clone. Commenters in our forums naturally scrutinized the images and videos looking for inconsistencies and have found a few, including longer hands on the Clock app icon, an "upside down" color gradient on the Music app icon, while others argue the complete package of features shown would almost certainly not be able to faked to the degree seen.

Since the original leak, several other claimed iPhone 6 devices have been appearing on Chinese sites, giving the opportunity for even more examination of the possible authenticity. One user on video sharing site MiaoPai who had posted a few brief videos of the device in action that we added in an update to our previous post has continued posting clips, with well over a dozen now available on his page.

In addition, a seven-minute Youku video review of the device has been posted walking through a number of features and giving overall impressions of the device.

Debate about the authenticity of these devices will obviously continue until Tuesday's official unveiling of the iPhone 6, and readers are welcome to share their thoughts in our discussion forums.

I think we shall all know on Tuesday which of the rumours are real and which are fake. And I personally can't wait to find out. . . well I can wait but it'll be a very tense wait indeed.

So there has to be some type of legal action against this person right? I mean Gizmodo had their legal issues... wouldn't this person?

If it is indeed real...

Interesting that we haven't gotten any news on the C model devices (6C?). Either no one really cares about them or maybe Apple is dropping it already.

I'm really going to laugh in two days when we see that those are the real thing and everyone saying "OMG it's obviously a fake" are proved to be wrong.

I so wanted to believe that the protruding camera bump was fake and just a rumor, but it appears it is not. Either way, I'm kind of surprised we haven't seen more 5.5" leaks.

I'm at the point where even if these are fake, they will be so close to the real thing it will be difficult to distinguish the two.

MR so needs to delete posts like this as they are just pure spam.

No **** Sherlock ;)

The 5.5 will likely be shown in the keynote, but won't be released until later. It likely has not entered mass production yet, which would be why people can't get their hands on it.

I really wish we compiled a list of all the people who said 4.7" was fake and that the thick bands on the back are fake and the pertruding camera is fake ...

The iPhone has been out since 2007 . You would think people can identify real leaks from fake ones ...

fake or not but it seems like the day has come that adding just another row of apps makes it look like a very cluttered mess. like at least give us an option to place them anywhere yep just like on android.

if its fake thumb up to those guys even thinking off the exposed camera ring. also why not show off new stuff like the "health" app seen on the springboard ;)

Oh well. This seems a more realistic iPhone that Apple would make than our pipe dreams. Nothing hugely major, except for the screen size increase, which still will be relatively low-res. Slight improvements here and there like the camera and processor, and call it a day. Apple never brings hugely major upgrades between 1 generation of devices. Therefore, this iPhone 6 will be a great upgrade to iPhone 4 or 4S users, or maybe the 5, but it won't be much different from the 5s.

If he wants to prove it's the real deal and not the GooPhone, he just have to open the camera and tap the icon on the bottom right. The GooPhone then goes to camera settings and the iPhone to filters.
