More space and faster

Well i wanted to put CS on my mac but it says needs more ??? i think RAM not sure can you suggest what i need to buy to make more space or run quicker. i have a G4 iMac flat panel 700mhz (the second one up which burns cd not dvds.)
Its just im unsure about the amoount of pins i am meant to have cos i looked on apple website for memory and got slightly confused!!!

Go to Crucial and use their selector to pick your machine. It will tell what RAM you need. Use Activity Monitor to see how much Hard Drive space you have left while you are at it.

on the crucial its says it has a 144pin SODIMM but on apple it says 200pin, is there relly a difference?
