Hey all.
I thought this was the right place to come and ask this question.
So I have total of 3GB of RAM installed. (Mac Pro Octo Core)
2x512 GB on bottom self
2x1GB on top self.
8800GTS Graphics card installed (This might be a reason why it's reading only 2gb)
And I bootcamped the Windows XP 32 bit service pack 2. I can't go into mac os because it doesn't support it.
It's only reading 2GB of RAM for me. I looked around and found a solution of adding, /3GB to the command line in boot.ini.
In "My Computer" Properties, it still tells me I have 1.97 GB of RAM
What's going on?
Also I ordered 2x1GB of RAM off Newegg. Making it total of 5GB of RAM.
Should I send those back? Is there any way I can put those ram to good use?
I do some heavy 3D work and it eats up a lot of RAM.
I dont want to go with windows xp 64bit because there's software compatibility problems along with a LOT of driver problems.
Anyone know how to get around this?
Thanks guys!
