Does anyone else think that Apple may change the iTunes application to another name in the future?
It seems that iTunes now handles so much more than just your "tunes" (movies, games, ebooks, podcasts, tv shows, iPhone, etc.).
I know that Media Center is already taken by Microsoft, but don't you think the iTunes program is now more along the lines of a full-blown "media center"?
The name "iTunes" just doesn't fit the description of the application anymore.
On the other hand, everyone knows the name iTunes so well that it might be too hard to change or convince people otherwise.
I always thought that QuickTime should have been an iTunes-like app, but for movies and tv shows. I mean, have you ever opened the QuickTime app? Pretty boring and not all that much to look at.
I guess people probably would not want to separate their movies and music since they are already used to them being together in iTunes. Better for management of devices (iPods, AppleTV, iPhone).
However, Apple separates iCal, Mail, Notes, and Address Book when I think they would serve better as one application (like Outlook).
