Here's one for dumb question of the month. Is it in any way possible to have email set up for a domain on Google Apps for some users and enable virtual hosting account for different users at the same domain?

The page discusses options available for Google Apps such as split delivery, routing and dual delivery. You would likely choose the proper method and select "provisioned accounts" only in advanced setup. The rest would be handled by your domain as secondary MX.
