I just got a set of Bose QuietComfort 2 headphones. I know, I know. I feel the same way about Bose. But, for the price (free) they can't be beat. A neighbor gave them to me.

I listen to them on my iPhone. All my music files are in MP3 format. I run them through MP3Gain, using the default 89db setting.

They're very quiet. Good enough for some listening, but not when I really want to rock out.

Is upping my MP3gain setting the only way to get them up to a descent volume, or is there another way?

I also have some Sure SE530s back at home (I'm on the road). Would using the volume control take the volume above and beyond what the headphones do naturally work?

Any other thoughts?

Thanks.

There is a High/Low switch on the end of the stereo plug into the head set it most likely on low

For Sale: One Boostaroo headphone amp.

Thank you! Sounds much better than it does with the amp anyway!
