Apple took it out somewhere back in Lion, and did NOT bring it back with Mavericks.
All of us photographers and Mac users who like to see fun and entertaining things happen on our computers, miss it greatly.

Here is a good video of it, (far better than mine which I took with my iPhone.)

I have heard there is a hack to bring it into more recent OS, but I cant find it. Would I dare do it?
Lets find out.
Ive called and written to Apple, but even the Apple care people miss it too, but dont have any info on it.
(Though I did solve the missing customization of your folders and icons, and called the Apple Care rep, and he was very glad to know of a fix. He said that it was going to be fixed in an upcoming version of 10.9 but if you have Photoshop, you can fix it yourself.)

So lets get our lovely Mosaic screensaver back!!!!!

Here is what the system pref looks like on my older 10.5.8

The disappearance of things like this baffle me. What does it hurt to leave it in? If you're going to replace it, why do so with some hokey ones like some of the ones in there now?
