coming from a macbook i couldn't stand the glossy screen on my new mbp 13". i tried it out for couple weeks and the reflections caused none stop headaches. After reading and viewing multiple reviews on the moshi ivisor, i finally ordered one from apple online.

Took about a week and finally the moshi arrived today. First thing i noticed after opening the package was that there was a dent in the plastic film, ARGGG!!... not sure how its possible sinced its pretty well protected in their package, maybe got hit or stepped on. Anyways right away i was unhappy with the product since there was a dent however i decided to just apply the film on the screen. Applying is literally seconds, the longest part was cleaning my screen.

First thing i noticed after turning on the screen is that the film adds a little bit of depth to the screen (might be also due to the dent), hard to explain but due to their design there is a little bit of space between the actually lcd and the film. The depth causes the screen to lose its crisp display. Im not happy at all with the product, i assumed this will be like my matte screen protector on my iphone, but its nothing like that. Film really makes the screen hard on the eyes, however i've only had it on for about 30min so maybe my eyes will get used to it. I did a side by side comparison with my iphone, and my iphone is soooo much more clearer then ivisor.

Im gonna put a order in tonight for a powersupport protector, hopefully that will be better. I'll keep you guys posted. I'll post some pics soon.

here are some pics:

here you can clearly see the dent, it causes the surrounding area to now have
a rainbow effect

I would be interested in reading your review on the powersupport AG film.

I've heard many different opinions about films. I think it is all subjective. Glossy vs Anti-Glare, Anti-Glare vs Film, etc.

I have always used the powersupport films on my iPod Touches, and will be buying one for my iPhone 4. I actually don't mind the loss in screen quality. I got so used to it on my iPod Touch.

couple hours of use, and still no improvement. infact the rainbow effects has now gotten worse, i now have multiple rainbow spots all over the screen. These spots are not visible though when the lcd is turned on so its not bad.

I've been using my laptop in the dark, and i can see the clearly the speckles that people have complained about on other reviews. My eyes feel strained looking at the screen, not sure if my eyes gotten used to the glare and now its trying to get used to the matte, or if its due to the depth issue i was talking about previously. Im gonna try to use it for 1 more day and see how it goes...

I've heard good and bad review of the ivisor but that is to be expected since it doesn't actually attach to your screen, the separation+ cloudiness of the ivisor really distorts the image

Update:

been using the ivisor now for few weeks, the rainbow effect is now everywhere on the screen. im starting to get dust under the screen protector, not too noticeable when screen is on, but very visible when off.

The rainbow effect now causes weird color manipulation on the screen, also makes the parts look pixelated.

I dont recommend this protector at all, especially for the price.

Still trying to figure out if i should get powersupport or green onion. Any recommendations?
