Sweet. Its interesting how the sound of an engine can have a physical effect on you. I found myself kind of getting more excited with the faster the engine revved. By the end I was ready to sprint out to my car and tear up some asphalt.

Where's the 640???  :(

Shame the good people of London spoiled it for us though. *sighs*

Eep, coincidence! Just found an Equaliser in my attic today that's really added some kick to my amp/speakers. But everyone's in bed now so it's quiet

Good advert. Good quality. If only Admiral insurance got some better adverts...

I don't even like/care for cars but I always love the sound of an F1 engine. They sound so high pitched, you'd expect them to be weak. EDIT: They sound like a hive of mental bees.

Great ad. I do not like shell because last time I checked they put alcohol in their gas, which is very bad for several parts of your engine... I will never touch the stuff.

That car sure has very poor sound-proofing. The ride looks really bumpy, too. I'll stick with American cars, where the ride is whisper quiet, and the suspension absorbs all the "feelings", thanks.

Very cool ad. I've gotta get me one of those Ferraris.

Esso, I think.

I'm still wondering how Shell conveniently forgot that Agip powered Ferrari's for quite sometime in those 60 years. :p

Oh of course... I see now. So that's why there's no F187, or 640, or 641, or 642 or any of the other really beautiful (both to look at and to hear) Ferrari's of the '80's and '90's. :p

They may sound like that on TV, but believe me in real life it is one of the most incredible sounds you will ever hear (and one of the last sounds, if you don't have earplugs!).

I'm not a big follower of F1 - and I don't have much interest in cars generally - but I went to see a race a few years ago, and I also saw the cars when they drove down Regent Street in London (where the Apple store is now). The sound of those engines, and the sheer power that comes through, is something everyone should hear once.

When I went to the race day, you had to raise your voice slightly to have a conversation even a couple of hundred metres from the circuit

I fell asleep with my head on a picnic basket sitting right next to Hanger Straight at Silverstone at the British GP :p

I'm pretty sure it's ethanol and I'll bet that most, if not all, gas companies put it in their gas even if they don't say they do.
