There have been some fascinating stories on this forum of people using their iPads for rather impressive things - medical analysis, managing big construction projects, running companies, financial trading...I even know a guy who runs his hotel on one, and a police force who use them on the go to update the public on threats/disruptions...etc.
I tend to think that the impressiveness of the iPad lies not on what's inside, but what their users can do with them, replacing all manner of specialised equipment (from the music industry to the public sector).
