What is the most likely addition that will come to the 15" MBP in the coming months? Based on the conversations on this forum it looks like screen resolution would be top of most people's list - is the resolution likely to change?

I would love to get the 15" but the low res is a put off. The 17" is just a bit big for me.

Screen resolution is definitely what I want the most before I purchase a Macbook Pro. The 15" is the model I will be getting, I doubt they will put it at the same 1900x1200 as the 17" , I am expecting an upgrade to 1680x1050. That would be a great improvement over 1440x900.

Yeh as the first poster said. I really want to see USB 3.0 in every companys computers by september. USB 3.0 is much better than 2.0 and can support really fast speeds.

I also really want to see the superdrive made removable, e.g you can either slot an hardrive or Superdrive in there.

USB 3 would be neat, as would bluray, but who wants to pay the price premium for those? Not me... I'm hoping for the screen res bump.

Hell no
We want a new OS, updated CPU, GPUs, USB, FW and antiglare screen option... ;)

Can't see why USB 3 isn't feasible by February 2010.

Feature less the optical drive.

Air shape.

OLED display.

3G card.

BluRay - exact opposite of my first idea - probably not with Apple.

USB 3.0.

eSata

I do like the bay idea. Put a module for extra battery, optical drive, extra drive, or maybe something else. Would be very cool but not like Apple.

Anti-Glare display would make a lot of people happy.

Liquid cooled CPU and Graphics to make a Quad Core Scream without heat.

Nice thread.

+1 for resolution boost. I used to not care about blue ray but then I realized that Star Trek would come out on blue ray and I want to see the Enterprise in high res.

USB 3.0 will be neat and I'll have to get a new computer next year sometime

I had an optical drive bay on my old dell laptop that could be swapped with a battery (never mind that the battery didn't take up every last cubic centimeter like the new ones) but it goes against the main purpose of the unibody construction method.

Quad core if the battery can handle it.

GT2x0 Video
Arrandale
USB 3.0
Optional Matte Screen

BlueRay won't happen... I think Apple will ditch optical drives before they pick up a new standard. Apple is all about digital content... it's part of their business model and BlueRay contradicts this.

Just opinion.

yeah and its also cheaper to just ditch it than implement it
