Most optimal RAM config on (early '08) Mac Pro?

I too am waiting for my new Mac Pro with the 8800GT and I was curious as to what's the best RAM setup?

I hear that the 2GB has done well but for future upgrades, what is it?

I keep quad channel, but is there an octo channel (might as well make a 8cores x 8channel RAM rig)
