What do you consider to be the most reliable external harddrive? Something you have used everyday for a long time and no major problems...In particular, I am looking for some storage ideas in the 800GB+ range.:)

You're not going to get a straight answer. You'll hear good and bad things about every brand.

With that said, I've assembled my own external drive using an Acomdata enclosure and Hitachi Deskstar mechanism and it's worked great.
